As a former Health Department employee, I think it is important that we do not discriminate against private agencies and their religious freedoms.  These new rules would not discrimiate against same-sex adoption.  They would simply allow private agencies to follow their own policies, based on their religious principles.  Please do not force some adoption agencies to shut their door simply on principle.  No one is asking ALL agencies to follow the Catholic rules -- we are simply asking for Catholic agencies to be able to follow their own convictions.
