Adoption

The welfare of children should be the primary goal of adoption agencies. If an agency wishes to be licensed by the state, they should be required to follow non-discrimination policies on the basis of sexual orientation; just like race, religion, and all the other protections. The state wouldn't allow a Christian agancy to rule out a married Muslim couple, would they? What these children need are families that will love and cherish them, regardless of the sexual orientation of the family members. There are never enough foster/adoptive families in the system, so there is no excuse for turning people away just because they happen to be LGBT.
