Sad it had come down to this...

How many here who are demanding religious freedom have become foster parents or adopted the thousands of children in Virginia's foster care system?  You would rather a child suffer in order to insure your "freedoms" are kept in tact...what about our children's rights.  The right to a loving, capable family that should solely be determined by qualifications and not lifestyle, color, disability, etc.  It sickens me that people will hide behind religion to support bigotry and if our legislatures, the Governor and the Board allow discriminatory language they themselves will be lumped in with the bigots.  Sad, so sad.  One would hope by now with all the genocides and massacres over the centuries in the name of religion this society would have gotten beyond that, especially this country who claims to be for all.  Obviously for some, that definition is for all if you fit our mold.  Say what you want but it all boils down to being bigots and no matter how you justify it you will answer for it on the day of judgement.

I support adoption/foster care regulations protecting potential parents from discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation, gender, age, disability, religious or political affiliation, race, color or national origin.
