I am adamently opposed to the idea that the Hearing Officer in Due Process should be appointed by the VDOE.    This reeks of conflict of interest.    Where will the impartiallity be?    This proposed change can only bring about more troubles for VDOE.    I do not really believe that this change would be in the interest of anyone (parent or child) other than other than VDOE.    Please reconsider you stance on this proposed change.
