Purpose of the meeting The task force will be addressing the many issues surrounding adult education and literacy services that provide basic skills, adult high school credentials, English for speakers of other languages, workplace education, and family literacy services to respond to varying levels of Virginia's adult learners. According to the 1990 U. S. Census, approximately one million Virginians have not completed high school. Thus, the duties of the task force will include making recommendations to the Board on a wide range of services. Persons requesting services of interpreter for the deaf should do so in advance. | |
