| Purpose of the meeting A public hearing to receive testimony concerning a proposed revision to the Commonwealth of Virginia Section 111(d) Plan. The proposed plan is intended to control emissions of designated pollutants to the atmosphere from hospital/medical/infectious waste incinerators, and consists of (i) emission limitations and other regulatory requirements; (ii) an inventory of emissions from the affected facilities; and (iii) other supporting documentation. The department is seeking comment on the overall plan, and on the issue of whether any regulations included in the plan should be submitted to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency as part of the plan. | |
