Purpose of the meeting
An informal public hearing to receive evidence and testimony relative to Order 21 that was implemented on March 1, 2001 and terminates on August 31, 2001. This order placed a temporary moratorium on the provisions of regulations 2 VAC 15-20-100 §§ 6(b)(c)(e) and § 7(b). The order was implemented to ascertain the actual consequences of less restrictive retail trade practices in the selling of fluid milk products at less than cost on market stability and the public interest. This hearing will assist the Commission in determining if this order should be terminated or extended and if the existing regulation should be terminated, amended or retained in its current form. This hearing will be conducted under the provisions of 2 VAC 15-20-125. Parties wishing to participate in the process through cross-examination should follow the process outlined in 2 VAC 15-20-125 E. Written comments may be submitted until COB August 1, 2001 in care of the listed contact at 200 North Ninth Street, Suite 915, Richmond, Virginia 23219.
