| Purpose of the meeting Hill Studio, P.C. has been contracted by the Department of Conservation and Recreation to conduct an Environmental Assessment of the proposed Alleghany Highlands Horse Trail. The proposed trail would lie between the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington and the Homestead in Hot Springs. It may not connect to either point. This is a public meeting to solicit input on the results of an inventory of natural, historical, cultural, and recreational resources conducted of the study area. Issues, concerns, and opportunities have also been identified and alternative trail routes selected for review and comment. Requests for an interpreter for the deaf should be filed two weeks prior to the meeting. | |
