This policy frightens me. It is not accounting for the welfare of our children and is looking only at one side of the political spectrum while using our children as victims. We don't allow elementary school students to drive cars, choose whether to do their homework or even if they can eat their vegetables before or after dessert. Why would we allow them to decide what gender they will be in 50 years? Most children out grow any "confusion" they have. I believe this policy can damage a young child. It takes away privacy from developing middle schoolers in the locker rooms. When I was in middle school, the last thing I would want is a biological boy anywhere close to me while I was changing! No matter how that person felt. It is not allowing for a safe and inclusive environment for all students and instead discriminates against conservative and religious families.
