Commenter: D.B.E. for many concerned women in our church (men too).

Love Conquers All

Love Conquers All.

"Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." (Romans 12:21)

Love does not restrict good things from being possible. To restrict all therapy that has helped so many people to make good choices in their lives, is not love. Neither is it love to say that the only good choices are the ones that you decide for them (which may be the worst choices for them, as you will discover in time ... but too late).

You can't have love for parents if you take away their parental rights with their children. That is not love either.

Love for any society must see that we maintain the love in our families of that society.

Love for anyone seeking help as they are confused, must have their best in deciding what's best for them. Many hundreds, even thousands, are so happy and thankful to therapists who helped them avoid making wrong decisions. Now, you want to say that they were all wrong, and no one should be helped in those ways ever again? That's not love.

It is not love to silence those with a differing opinion either. Not through discourse (thank-you for this opportunity), nor through laws. But the very thing you are upholding in this forum, is the very thing you want to write a law to ban. That's not love (nor is it wise).

"So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." (John 8:36)

"For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not be entangled again in a yoke of slavery!" (Gal. 5:1)

"I have the right to do anything," you say--but not everything is beneficial." (1 Cor. 6:12)

"Be careful, however, that your freedom does not become a stumbling block to the weak." (1 Cor. 8:9)

"For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another humbly  in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: "Love your neighbor as yourself." (Gal. 5:13,14)

Because ...

Love Conquers All.
