TRAP regulations are unnecessary

As all medical professionals without a religious axe to grind will tell you, abortion is a very low-risk medical procedure- certainly a lot lower risk than bearing a pregnancy to term and giving birth. TRAP restrictions don't protect the health of women, because there's nothing to protect them from: abortion clinics very rarely deal with complications. As a citizen of Virginia, I want our regulations to be based in reality, not in rhetoric. The reality is, there's no medical risk to allowing abortion clinics to operate as any normal doctor's office would. By forcing them to comply with the undue burden of TRAP regulations, all that's accomplished is shutting them down. This leads to more pregnancies being carried to term by unwilling mothers, which is barbaric. It also leads to more abortions being performed in the second trimester after women are unable to obtain help in the first. While second trimester abortions are still quite safe, there is slightly more risk. There is a lot more risk if they decide to carry to term. Stop putting women at risk: drop TRAP regulations once and for all.
