Banning firearms from State facilities and other agencies simply makes for well known soft targets for criminals and degenerates. Almost every active shooter situation has occurred at a soft target location. Banning the carry of firearms in a state office makes it known to criminals that the office is full of unarmed personnel.  Therefore, it makes for the perfect target with very little resistance. Banning the carry of firearms simply disarms law abiding citizens. What stops a criminal degenerate mass murdering lunatic from entering the known soft target and freely killing whoever he/she wants? Is the bill going to keep him from shooting somebody? Is he saying to himself, "well I'd really like to go on a killing spree in that building where 15 unarmed civilians are going about their day.... But dang it to hell, I am not allowed to carry my firearm in there." No, he is not saying that to himself... If he's willing to kill people then he is willing to break your laws. I have an idea though; let's make meth illegal... Or how about murder? If we make murder illegal then maybe people won't kill people anymore (End Sarcasm). In reality, the only thing stopping a bad person from doing bad things is the thought of opposition. Making your state offices "gun free" zones only makes them a known soft target and it will be like shooting fish in a barrel. God forbid that happens, but if you allow your people their God given 2nd amendment right then at least you will have allowed the victims the ability to protect themselves.  Stop guaranteeing people's safety when it's impossible to do so. People trust the state to make the right decision but after so much we've been through to ensure freedoms in this country; the few Americans in top positions are too freely concentrated on giving up said freedoms for the illusion of safety.
