CCW / CCH Reciprocity Ban Unwise

At this time of terrorism, your decision to stop recognizing the CCW/CCH concealed carry permits of 25 other states is unwise and uncalled for.

Apart from earning additional revenue while putting your citizens at risk in an increasingly protection free zone, you are going to encourage exercise of your open-carry laws, putting potential defenders at greater risk from criminal and terrorist attack.

I teach the North Carolina Department of Justice based CCH permit program in North Carolina. It's more comprehensive than that required for Virginia permits, and includes demonstration of competence in practical shooting and knowledge of the laws of self defense.

I cannot imagine rational justification for your decision. That only leaves political motivation which, thankfully, can be addressed by the electorate.
