Virginians have the right to defend themselves

Law enforcement is already over worked and they cannot protect everyone. Anyone that works for the government, state or federal, are in more danger because of the role that they fill. I have served in the active duty Navy, Va. National Guard and the Naval Reserves and I do not have anything on my vehicles or clothing that idetifies me as a part of these organizations. I am proud that I served my country, state and now as a Federal employee and I cannot say so. When you force citizens to give up their Second Amendment rights you are saying that they may not defend themselves and that they and their safety do not matter. When you allow criminals to roam the streets with their weapons, you leave the tax paying citizens in danger. Who will pay taxes when there are more criminals that honest, law abiding citizens?
