Our right to self-defense shall not be infringed

It's shameful and sad to see this threat to our natural and long recognized right to self-defense take place in the birthplace of the state and federal constitutional amendments that protect this right. It would much appreciated if Governor McAuliffe could brush up on his Virginia history, particularly around his knowledge of George Mason -- hopefully that might give him the perspective as to why his proposed policies are wrong in their intent and effectiveness.

These laws do nothing to reduce actual crime or protect people. Instead they simply erode the freedoms of our citizens. Virginians should not and will not stand by idly as this erosion continues. As intended by our founding fathers, "It is the whole people, except for a few public officials" who must vigilantly protect and secure our natural freedoms.
