OPPOSE executive action on banning firearms in State agencies

This recent executive decree by the Governor is nothing more than ruling by fiat and attempting to cricumvent the legislative process that is a conerstone in the American and Virginian way of governance. Banning the possession of openly carried, and soon to include, concealed carry in these various places is nothing more than preaching the narrative that the ITEM (the gun) is the problem and not the PERSON that uses said item illegally. It is of important note that this decree will only effect otherwise law abiding citizens; criminals by definition will never follow the law and the consequences will be of now concern and infact may be embolden to commit heinous crimes; of important note since 1950, all but 2 of the mass shootings were committed in a "gun free zone" where law abiding citizens were rendered helpless because they choose to follow a law or regulation that disarmed them.  Open carry is not what a criminal or a terrorist will do, law abiding people do that; CHP holders are some of the most law abding people in the country and to decree that they have no right to carry in a place where they have before is wrong and this emergency regulation MUST be repaled immediately. Please extend the comment period for another 30 days.
