This ban will do nothing to make for safer working conditions.  If anything it will make it more dangerous.  Criminals will know that honest citizens will have not way to defend themselves taking advantage of this situation.  Right now the good guys maybe the one that saves you.  If you pass this legislation, the good guys won't have the means to do so.
