I oppose the government regulation to ban firearms in state agencies

The ban on firearms in state agencies should be recinded .immediately and not be permitted to become a permanent regulation. I feel the Governor is overstepping his authority to institute this unecessary and dangerous regulation on a free society. Public mass shootings occur more frquently by far in gun free zones. This regulation  not only removes my ability to protect myself and family. It also places my wife, who is a CHP holder, at greater risk since she would be percieved as easy prey to the crimonal mindset.  This regulation appears to be attempting to fix a problem that doesn't exist, thereby creating one. One point I particularly oppose,is the banning of firearms in public rest areas, an area where a citizen is vulnerable. Firearms are currently permitted in rest areas by CHL holders in TN, NC, KY,and WV.Over 300 miles on I-81 would also infringe on the rights of residents of nieghboring states as well as discomfort. Having to disarm and leaving my firearm in a motor vehicle will only increase the risk of theft and more weapons in the hands of criminals.  .
