I oppose the prohibition of firearms in state agency buildings

The proposed regulation has no basis in fact. There have been no incidents involving a person in lawful possession of a firearm or a person with a valid concealed carry permit causing any problems inside of a state agency. This regulation is in search of a problem, and is an affront to the law abiding citizens of Virginia. It is also an affront to those employees who might wish to protect themselves, and now are deprived from doing so on the sole basis of working for the state. Working for this commonwealth should never come at the expense of one's rights.

This regulation should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
