Carry regulation proposed is unnecessary and an obstruction to lawful gun owners only

Please do not adopt the proposed regulation restricting the otherwise lawful carry of firearms in state buildings. This is not a measure that will prevent violence. It willl only apply to violent offenders after they have taken some sort of action, at which point it becomes a moot offense given the seriousness of other charges that would result. Full enforcement would be a costly distraction of police and security from other areas of focus. It also constitutes a layered obstruction intended to discourage lawful gun owners from exercising otherwise legal rights through accumulated risk of legal penalty and inconvenience.
