Stormwater Management Improvements are needed, but these regulations need significant revision

The proposed Stormwater Management Ammendments need major revision if they are to provide the intended benefit.  As currently written, they punish redevelopment and smart growth development projects, encouraging large lot sprawl, and do almost nothing about the runoff from agriculture and forestry, where most of the problems originate.   These regulations will greatly increase the cost of all kinds of new developments with minimal real benefit.   These should be reviewed by the legislative branch and the real costs determined before implementing such onerous conditions on landowners and citizens of Virginia.   Take time to get this right.  We all want to protect the bay and improve water quality - lets make sure the new regulations actually do that!
