Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

This is for the transgender policies to be voted on.

I, personally feel uncomfortable with teaching science/ anatomy in schools thats covers that boys have a penis snd girls have a vagina and boobs, to just turn around and contradict that with saying " except for Johnny.....he is a girl because he wants to be." That's the biggest bunch of horse black box ive ever heard. You dont send boys in girls locker rooms r bathrooms.....snd you sure as hell dont punish someone else because they wont call " Johnny " a girl, muxh less think you have the authority to not tell parents about what is happening to their own child in school. The school has zero legal authority to do any of the above. If passed, I will petition, seek legal counsel, and boycott/ protest at every public school in Virginia i can muster up people for. If you support this bill, ypu are as crazy as Biden and as dumb as Pelosi.
