Guidance Document Change: The Model Policies for the Treatment of Transgender Students in Virginia’s Public Schools guidance document was developed in response to House Bill 145 and Senate Bill 161, enacted by the 2020 Virginia General Assembly, which directed the Virginia Department of Education to develop and make available to each school board model policies concerning the treatment of transgender students in public elementary and secondary schools. These guidelines address common issues regarding transgender students in accordance with evidence-based best practices and include information, guidance, procedures, and standards relating to: compliance with applicable nondiscrimination laws; maintenance of a safe and supportive learning environment free from discrimination and harassment for all students; prevention of and response to bullying and harassment; maintenance of student records; identification of students; protection of student privacy and the confidentiality of sensitive information; enforcement of sex-based dress codes; and student participation in sex-specific school activities, events, and use of school facilities.

Cease usurping parental rights under the guise of personal choice

It is time to speak science in regards to the proposal placed before the VDOE. The science, biology, of this lgbtq+ proposed “education” is sorely lacking. There is no scientific evidence that humans can change gender or can choose gender, which is a biologically placed matter. Allowing students of the other sexes into restrooms, locker rooms, and sports teams is denying science and harming children in more ways than one. It is time to let parents become the lead on their child’s personal acceptance of gender and sexuality. Taking away the rights of parents is a gross overstepping of the VDOE and completely irrational and unconstitutional. This is stripping the rights of biological women from all aspects of education and achievement and should be stopped immediately. Step down, VDOE. This is not education, it is politics. It is a clear and present danger to children and to women and it’s time to stop the nonsense.
