Abortion is a dangerous surgical procedure for the mother and an almost always deadly one for the baby. It should be governed by all the same safety standards as any other surgical procedure in facilities that also meet all the standards required for performing either out-patient or in-hospital surgery. In the case of a baby surviving the attempt to kill it all efforts should be made to save its life. To do otherwise is to go against all ethical standards of the practice of medicine.
