Regulations for Licensure of Abortion Facilities [12 VAC 5   412] should be retained in its current form.  Infection control, record keeping, training and staff capabilities are such as to assure quality and safety of patients.  In my experience as a medical technologist, I recognize the similarity of these regulation to what I have experienced with inspections of medical laboratories, specialty clinics and hospitals.  These regulations are clear and comprehensive enough to meet even JCAH standards.
