I am a retired LEO and Mr. Herring, you are an embarrassment to the law enforcement community. In my 30+ years of experience I found CHP holders to be some of the most trustworthy of citizens. In addition, they are sometimes the one person who may be in the position to aid an LEO when backup is delayed. I demand that you change your stance on reciprocity and reverse your decision. It is a bad decision for Virginians and bad for tourism.
