Why deny the right of self-defense to Virginia citizens?

The regulation should not be approved.  The emergency regulation should be with drawn.  Disarming good citizens does not make them or anyone safer - law enforcement officers cannot be everywhere, nor always resapond in a timely manner.  Under this regulation, even off duty law enforcement officers cannot provide appropriate help.  All this regulation does is make safe zones at schools, State buildings, and other public places less safe for the good citizens and target areas for the criminals - in effect safe zones for the criminals to hit because there is less or no adequate defense.  We keep hearing about run, hide, fight.  Fighting with thrown staplers and books, slashing away with pens, and trying to resist armed criminals without appropriate firepower is ridiculous.  Do you people watch the nightly news?

Please extend the comment periuod for another 30 days to allow the good citizens of the State to voice their opinion during this busy time of year.
