No to promulgation of new regulation banning concealed firearms in executive branch agency offices

No matter how many laws you make, criminals do not abide by laws, they are criminals. These proposed regulations will create a prime area for the criminal action you are attempting to avoid. Look at Illinois, some of the toughest gun laws in the country, they have not been able to curb gun violence. Illinois has Universal Background Checks yet a recent poll showed 97% of criminals purchase guns illegally and has done nothing to stop violence. These attempts have only hampered law abiding citizens from protecting themselves. Other State with less oppressive gun laws has not seen as high criminal activity. You are creating the opposite of the intended affect by playing into the hands of terrorists, violent criminals, and the criminally insane.  We have had no shootings in state agencies and this prohibition on those with a concealed handgun permit, some of whom have active and ongoing threats to their lives, is entirely without any justification and needlessly and recklessly endangers innocent lives.

Good citizens are the only ones likely to obey the prohibition. Disarming good citizens does not make them safer.

The Governor is only using this regulation for political purposes to gain favor from the Obama administration. This proposed regulation is a solution for which there is no problem.  It endangers state employees, law abiding citizens, and the innocent by making state buildings a safe zone for terrorists, criminals, and the criminally insane to conduct their evil and savage actions.

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn. Enforce laws currently on the books, additional laws will do nothing.

The comment period should be extended for another 30 days.
