It is already known to everyone, that gun bans only serve one function to disarm those citizens who choose to follow the laws. Criminals, terrorists or others with mallious intents will not care that fire arms are banned. They will not see a sign that says Gun Free Zone and lay down their guns, or turn around, they will do what they intend to do regardless, with the only difference being, no one else is able to defend their self. Needless to say, that when guns are taken away from those who follow the law and who are responsable gun owners, you do not stop criminals from their actions, but you stop an citizen from the ability to defend their self, or others when needed. These types of laws do not work and they are flawed logic because of the fact that criminals we know already do not follow the law, and there for, a gun ban would be the same, a law that criminals would not follow. There are plenty of examples of this, from gun violence in places where guns are baned already to the ban on illegal drugs, but yet, you see criminals every day, not following the law, and those bans. Only honest, law biding citizens are the ones who follow laws, and yet, you want to disarm them, take away their 2nd Amendment right and the ability to defend their self on the flawed logic of a gun ban will protect people? No, a gun ban will not protect anyone but the criminals who commit crimes in areas where guns are baned when there is no one there to defend their self. You can not let this happen in our state, and you must not and cant not infringe upon the rights of the citizens to bear arms and defend their selves and their lives. Do not give the criminals a free area where they will know that they can go and commit crimes knowing that no one will be able to defend their self, but stand up for the law biding citizens and say, We support the right of the citizens to bear arms and to defend their lives, and do not allow this action to proceed any further. Again, as stated, criminals do not follow the law, and by allowing this to happen, the only ones who benifit are the criminals who do not follow the law as they know that the citizens will be unarmed and unable to defend their self.
