This regulation will just make it easier for terrorists!

Disarming citizens does not make them safer. The effect that this proposed regulation will have will be to make it easy for terrorists and criminals to conduct their brutal plans against the peaceful and law abiding citizens of Virginia.

Creating this “Gun-Free” zone amounts to nothing more then the creation of a high value ‘soft’ target in which enemies of our nation and state will know that the citizenry is vulnerable to attack, as even off duty law enforcement officers will not be allowed to carry concealed.

The alleged premise of this regulation is in the reduction of work place violence. Since there have been no shootings in state agencies, this is without merit or justification. I am more of the opinion that this is an ‘End Run’ around the constitutional right of all Americans protected by the second amendment, in an attempt to further an Anti-gun agenda instead of addressing a real safety concern.

This regulations should not be approved and the emergency regulation withdrawn.
