This regulation negatively impacts the safety of the people

This regulation will not increase safety in any way. CCW license holders are among the safest and most law-abiding demographics in the nation, beating out even law enforcement officers in crime rates (source: National Center for Policy Analysis). Limiting where they are legally allowed to carry negatively affects the safety of them and everyone around them.

There is also the extreme hypocrisy in the fact that VA tax payers paid out ~$16,000 to cover the cost of Governor Terry McAuliffe's security detail during his personal trip to Africa, while back at home he's busy trying to limit the extent to which the people can defend themselves. We don't have tax payers paying for our own security details; stop trying to further limit the means by which we can defend ourselves.

The permanent passing of this regulation will create a safe zone for any future terrorists/criminals in any state building they choose to commit violent acts in. They will have no regard for what is legal or isn't. If you believe that a regulation like this one result in lower crime, then perhaps you should look into creating a law that makes murder illegal as well. I'm sure that will be very effective at eliminating homicides.

Criminals don't follow laws by definition. Law abiding citizens like us do. Do not limit our right to defend ourselves.
