Unnecessary Government Regulations

There are only two reasons for the government, at any level, to write new regulations.  First, it needs to be done and second, it is the right thing to do.  This emergency ban on guns in state offices is not necessary as there have never been any incidents or threats of violents involving guns toward Virginia State Offices.  It is also not the right thing to do as it only disarms law-abiding people and keeps them from defending themselves and others in case there is a violent attack anywhere in the vicinity of State Offices; i.e., parking lots.

Criminals and Terrorist intent on doing harm to others have no regard for laws and breaking them will not effect their desire to create havac.  All mass shooting and terrorist attacks have taken place in "Gun Free Zones".  Essentially areas where the pertpetrator has free range and is confident that no one will hamper their efforts; shoot back.  Gun Free Zones are Killing Zones and this regulation will just create more target rich environments for those seeking attention or to conduct a terrorist act.
