As a former police officer I can not condone this. Gun free zones have proven to be breading grounds for criminal activity. Police chiefs around the country, including DC police chief Lanier, have stated that the best defense against a mass shooting is citizens on scene firing back since police have to respond andthat takes time. Our only hope to keep our state buildings off the criminal radar is to repeal the emergency order the Gov. has and to not make it state law.
