Restricting concealed carry access won't stop Criminals.

I try to keep up with the News and I haven't heard of this problem.  When did any CWP holder commit a crime inside a Virginia Executive Branch Building?  I say problem because most laws are written to address a problem, facts are used, statistics and past crimes too, so where are the crimes?  Where are the statistics which we need to consider if ANOTHER law is needed?

Let's be honest, the Governor feels like he has to do something, no he doesn't!  Laws don't prevent crime, they only restrict Liberty.  The 2nd Amendment of the Bill of Rights and Virginia Constitution Article I Section 13 states "...the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed".  There is reason, well documented and establish reason this phrase is in both Constitutions so every effort should be made to avoid infringing Rights.  Especially Concealed Carry Permit holders who have already been fingerprinted, had a background check completed and have been properly trained with firearms.

Sincerely
Larry Bethea
