Gun ban simply puts more citizens at risk

Charging a gunman who shot up a building for a firearms violation after the fact does nothing for public safety. New regulation only affects legal gun owners and placates a few vocal people who do not even live in Virginia.

Furthermore, a ban such as this should be passed rough the legislature with full approval of the people of Virginia, not forced upon the state by the executive branch.

We are not under a direct threat of attack where these emergency meaures would improve the situation.  I request the emergency measures and any further planned regulations on this path be withdrawn.

Please extend the comment period for another 30 days such that the people of Virginia may review and discuss this issue with their representatives.
