I strongly support the current regulations on abortion centers. They are reasonable measures to ensure that cleanliness is maintained, that life-saving equipment is on hand, that infections are prevented, and that clear written policies and building guidelines are in place.  Women who depend on these facilities deserve the same standard of health care that is available at other medical facilities. 

Before these regulations were implemented, health inspectors documented many health and safety violations in nearly all abortion facilities inspected.  Clearly the abortion industry cannot be relied upon to self-regulate and promote appropriate standards of cleanliness and safety in their facilities.
