I oppose the Targeted Regulations for Abortion Providers being forced on women's health centers because they are unnecessary and will harm women by making it even more difficult to access reproductive health care and safe, legal first-trimester abortion care in Virginia.
It is obvious to anyone (even without a medical background) to see that forcing women's health care centers to meet the same standards as certain types of hospitals has nothing to do with medicine or patient safety. This is yet another attempt to make it even more difficult to obtain a legal and safe abortion in Virginia. It simply is not acceptable and ultimately harmful.
Our bodies are not political or religious pawns and it is time for the legislature to stop using them as such.
