First and foremost, I strongly oppose abortion in all circumstances.  If, however, our laws permit this tragic procedure to end a baby's life, the government should at least care enough to protect the women undergoing this procedure.  While I don't support the choice to have an abortion, I do support a commitment to the well-being of the mother.  Abortion providers believe they are offering a medical procedure and, therefore, should be required to maintain safety standards and follow health regulations equal to any other medical practice.  The issue of these regulations is independent of one's stance on abortion.  The issue is about keeping these mothers safe.
