TRAP regulations

TRAP regulations have absolutely nothing to do with protecting women’s health. Instead, these onerous regulations are designed to force the majority of women’s health centers in Virginia to close, and prevent Virginia women from exercising their constitutional right to safe, legal, abortion. Abortion is not a crime, and women do not enter into this procedure lightly. I have worked as a reproductive health and sexual assault nurse for over a decade, and I know firsthand how difficult it is for women to find and access safe, reliable, reproductive health care no matter where they live. In Virginia, where we have a large rural-dwelling population, women may have to travel several hours to even a small clinic for their reproductive healthcare. By placing undue and absurd burdens on these longstanding clinics, you will be creating a divisive and disparate burden on rural and low-income Virginia women. Do not allow these women to suffer. Reject this unnecessary regulation.
