Clinic Regulations

As a scientist, I base my decisions on research and facts that I can gather.  I would hope the Board of Health would do the same.  Where is the evidence that all clinics that provide abortions are providing substandard care for patients?

Abortion is legal in the US, though many in our state government seek to ignore or repeal this.  You would choose to deny medical care to women who use these clinics for reasons other than abortion because some in our government seek to decrease access to abortion.  But women were having abortions before they were legal, and will continue to do so - with much less safety! - if you enact these regulations.

If you choose to uphold these regulations, then you MUST apply them to all other health care facilities that provide any kind of invasive out-patient procedures.  If women's health clinics cannot be grandfathered in under these regulations, then neither can any other facility.

I urge you to do what your scientific and medical training tells you is the right thing to do.  Stand up to our governor and attorney general.
