Action:
Definition of Volatile Organic Compound (Rev. G12)
General Information
Action Summary |
The general definitions of 9VAC5-10 impose no regulatory requirements in and of themselves but provide support to other provisions of the Regulations for the Control and Abatement of Air Pollution. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has revised the definition of volatile organic compound (VOC) to add a substance that has been demonstrated to be less reactive to the list of substances that are not considered to be VOCs: trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene (also known as HFO-1234ze); the state definition must now be revised accordingly. |
