The Board for Waterworks and Wastewater Works Operators and Onsite Sewage System Professionals (the Board) has voted to create a new guidance document that summarizes the following existing guidance documents (in accordance with Executive Orders 1 and 19, to help guidance document length): The following documents will be repealed: 1. Guidance regarding licensees of the Board earning CPE credit for attending Board meetings. There are limited provisions for acquiring CPE credit contained in the guidance document. 2. Guidance Document 6258: Acceptable Utility Management CPE Topics. Document includes guidance to ensure consistency in the application of the regulations and guidance to staff and licensees as to what topics/areas may be acceptable for utility management CPE, the Board provided advice on areas that would be considered to be acceptable for utility management CPE pursuant to 18VAC160-30-200 B and 18VAC160-30-210 B. 3. Guidance Document 6205: Onsite Sewage System Installers Installation of Non-discharging Onsite Sewage Systems. Document contains guidance as it pertains to onsite sewage system installers and the installation of non-discharging onsite sewage systems. 4. Guidance Document 6206: Onsite Sewage System Inspections & Evaluations for Property Transfers. Document contains guidance to clarify the Board’s authority to regulate inspections or evaluations. 5. Guidance Document 6369: Qualifying for Operator and Installer Licensure Using Certain Degree Programs. Document contains guidance regarding the qualifications for master conventional and alternative onsite sewage system installers, master conventional and alternative onsite sewage system operators, and journeyman alternative onsite sewage system operators, including provisions for completion of training approved by the Board. This guidance document addresses the use of certain degree programs in lieu of Board-approved training. The repealed guidance documents are replaced with a new guidance document “Summary of Board Interpretations, Policies, and Guidance” that is a summarized shortened, easier to read and access, version of listed above documents.
