Description of Proposed Guidance Document Changes
Chapter 623 of the 2024 Acts of the Assembly directs the Board of Education to adopt policy that supports SLIFE (Students with Limited and/or Interrupted Formal Education) to stay in school by developing new graduation and dropout formulas that exclude any student, if such student has not been enrolled in a Virginia High School for at least two semesters. There are no costs associated with the changes to the guidance document.
