There are some minors who genuinely want to receive counseling and professional assistance to work through issues relating to gender and sexuality. To deny them and their parents the right to access this counseling would be to deprive them of the help they truly seek. To not allow them to access this counseling would also undermine religious freedom, as some seek counseling due to an authentic desire to live out their faith. To deny this counseling to all minors is the equivalent of denying medicine or therapy, and it goes against the best interests of Virginia children and their families.
