Animal Shelters

Animal shelters in Virginia are required to keep the type of records described by the State Veterinarian's office. They should be available, with reasonable notice, for review. A shelter should do everything in it's power to keep animals healthy and to find them good homes. Animals should not be euthanized when there is space available and when rescues are willing to pull the animals from the shelter.
