Self regulation generally means no regulation.  The woman who come to these clinics, and also the workers that work there, desrve to be safe.  They deserve to not have the burden of reporting or adressing issues lay on them.  The procedures done in these facilities involve lots of body fluids, potential biohazards, and potentially infectious materials.  The procedures are more involved that many outpatients type procedures and have the real potential to need to quickly extract a patient to get to a more capable medical facility.  All of the current regulations are medically justifiable, and seem reasonable.
