As a nurse, I am well aware of the importance of standards in ensuring the safe delivery of care to patients. It is imperative that there be regulations and regulatory oversight. For the health and safety of the women in abortion clinics, there must be standards such as those in hospitals and free standing outpatient surgery centers.
