The regulations in 12 VAC 5-412 must be retained in order to ensure women are protected by basic, common-sense health and safety standards.  These regulations are designed to safeguard women against the gross negligence and maltreatment that is repeatedly discovered at abortion clinics throughout the United States, including in the Commonwealth of Virginia.  Please remember that the Commonwealth exists to protect its citizens and that its first duty is toward them, and not toward an industry that profits from misusing and abusing them.
