Every hospital for which I have worked was inspected several times a year by the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Hospitals. Their standards are far above the basic regulations which are represented in the Commonwealth of Virginias Abortion Clinic regulations.Why do hospitals, Surgi-Centers, Urgent Care Facilities, etc. have to go through the gauntlet of Joint Commission inspections, and Abortion Clinics do not"Why would Virginia even think of retreating from the regulations for Abortion Clinics which have been long overdue" Rosemary Antunes, RN
