THis is a medical procedure requiring the expertise of a doctor.  It is only common sense that a facility which provides abortions would need to meet health standards and safety regulations. The existing standards protect the women who resort to abortion. They expect a clean, safe environment and the Department of Health inspections reveal widespread violations and horror stories.  The greed and cruelty of Dr. Kermit Gosnell should not be repeated here in Virginia and state regulations can prevent such atrocities from occurring.  Why would anyone oppose standards of health and safety yet claim to truly care about women?
